Strenght

When designing our open and closed airport baggage carts, our number one priority was strength. With over 8,000 lbs of carrying capacity, our airport baggage carts can take on the toughest load. Baggage or heavy cargo, rest assured you can always rely on the Wilcox Baggage Cart.

Wilcox baggage carts come standard with 3 stage “Soft Ride” tire made with 100% natural rubber mounted on a 7 gauge rim, the best shock absorbing tire mounted on the strongest wheel. The 100% natural rubber tire also has 70% less rolling resistance than all synthetic tires, which means it’s easier to manually push a cart.

The tow bar has been engineered with adjustment bolts, top prevent from hitting the ground in case of drop, protecting feet and other equipment. When manually turning cart 360 degrees, the tow arm will fully pivot to either side and raise to an ergonomic position to prevent user from bending over reducing the opportunity of injuries. When tow bar is placed in upright lock position, an adjustable wheel lock is engaged, safely holding cart in place.

The bottom of the cart has a rub rail to strengthen the base and protect the curtain rod. The rail and the rod are open to the bottom, preventing any clogging of the track system from foreign objects or dirt, always keeping functioning properly and smoothly. Top corners of the cart are protected with soft rubber bumpers. Over the side curtains, an integrated drip rail (the roof is slightly peaked), funnelling water to the sides and not over the operator.

The end walls come reinforced with a shelf bracket, which an optional shelf if needed, can be easily bolted in place.

Curtains come standard PVC with interior reinforced webbing and with reinforced grab handles. Curtains can also ordered in customer specific colors.

Open Baggage Carts FEATUREs

Wilcox Open Baggage Carts are made to meet the same strength and durability and come with all the standard features of our Closed Baggage Carts.

Manufactured from 12 gauge satin coated steel, our open baggage carts are designed to handle loads up to 8000 lbs.

Steel structural ends are bolted into position, giving the option for delivered pre-assembled, or saving freight costs and assembling at location.

Looking to keep your load on board? Option drop down mesh sides are available to add to the Wilcox Open Baggage Cart.

We have utilized the curtain rod of our closed cart to secure the bottom of the mesh, while bolt on side brackets can be easily be added to complete the design.

Easy lift up and drop design keep all the parts attached, nothing dragging on the ground and no chance of falling parts.

That’s why our aluminum luggage carts have 3-Stage “Soft Ride” tires made of 100% natural rubber and placed on a super-strong 7-gauge rim. Not only do these tires absorb the most stress, but natural rubber has 70% less rolling resistance than synthetic tires, making it easier to push the cart manually.

We also installed shock absorbers on our carts’ front and rear axles to decrease road vibration and increase tire traction. In addition, our bolt-on axle design enables for quick and simple repairs.
