Business Development Representative

Position Summary: WilcoxGSE, a leading Original Ground Services Equipment (GSE) manufacturer, is seeking a dedicated Business Development Representative to join our team. Based in Milton, Ontario, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building, and maintaining relationships with prospective clients, and driving the company’s sales strategies across our Canadian and US territories. This role involves developing and executing plans to increase company revenue, developing new customers, and managing key customer relationships, while contributing to the company’s vision for the future.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
  • Analyze competitors, their products, and market positioning.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address client needs promptly and effectively.

Networking and Outreach:

  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote the company.
  • Develop and maintain a robust network of industry contacts.

Proposal Development:

  • Prepare compelling business proposals, presentations, and sales pitches.
  • Negotiate contracts and close business deals.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with Design & Production teams to ensure our offerings remain at the forefront of innovation and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of quotations and orders and align sales strategies to drive collective success.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor sales performance, sales targets, KPI’s and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Be accountable for tracking your performance against goals and implementing strategies to optimize results.

Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards, upholding the highest levels of integrity and ethical conduct in all business dealings, and other duties as required.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Job Knowledge or Work Experience:

  • Over 5 years in sales, consistently achieving targets and driving growth throughout
  • Minimum of 3 years in Business Development
  • Established high level network in Aviation, Ground Support equipment (GSE) or related industry such as MRO’s, Airline & Airline Cargo, Aircraft and equipment leasing.
  • Account Management experience a definite asset.
  • Entrepreneurial and creative approach to leveraging resources of the business.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem identification and resolution for product distribution, with customers and employees.
  • Ability to listen and communicate concisely and effectively.
  • Proficient with CRM platforms for sales tracking, forecasting, and customer relationship management
  • Proficient in Territory management, resource management & discipline in managing self and ensuring alignment with company objectives and goals.
  • Adept at using digital platforms relevant to sales, including analytics, marketing, and business social media.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field preferred

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel up to 50% of time, same day or overnight and primarily in North America
  • This position is open to US and Canadian residents
  • Wear all PPE where required

 

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess valid Passport and Driver License, and be available, and able to travel
